BaseTrak is a web-based application that assists the administration of commuter programs (often referred to as Transportation Demand Management or TDM programs). With the recently added Ridematch feature, the service provides a complete and integrated set of TDM program management tools. The administrator can communicate with program participants, announce special events, conduct surveys, collect data, and report on this information. The addition of an integrated Ridematch feature (utilizing easy to use Google Maps) allows a single registration for all of these features.
The system is managed centrally, usually by a local government, but is normally delivered through the commuter's employer network to measure employee's use of commute alternatives such as carpool, vanpool, transit, bike, walk or telework. By utilizing the system the commuter can find a carpool or vanpool match, and by logging his commute activity, receive a cumulative report of his individual energy and air pollution savings. The custom employer website can even be used to provide incentives through monthly prizes.
BaseTrak is a flexible and easily adaptable to a variety of scenarios. This system is designed to be run as a hosted service avoiding integration and maintenance requirements for our customers.
